University Communications
The Department of University Communications works to develop and execute an integrated marketing and communications plan aimed at strengthening the University’s distinct position as the leading evangelical Christian university in St. Louis. Through the use of various media—from the University’s award-winning alumni magazine to multi-media video packages, the UC Department daily works to ensure the University’s brand represents MBU’s core purpose to teach, empower, and inspire students for service and lifelong learning.

Meet the Team
Bryce Chapman
Bryce is the director of University Communications. Chapman works to execute the University’s annual integrated communications and marketing plan. He is the editor of the University’s MBU Magazine and works to cultivate strong relationships with members of the media.
Chapman holds a bachelor’s degree in technical journalism from Colorado State University and a graduate degree in media communication from Webster University.
Jenny Gravatt
Jenny is the Communications Specialist for Missouri Baptist University. Gravatt is typically seen around campus with a camera glued to her hands. When not taking pictures, she is busy producing ads and other graphics for the University or shooting/editing videos.
Gravatt has her bachelor's degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Television and Radio Production from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with minors in Theatre/Dance and Spanish.
Shawn Key
Shawn is the Web Manager for Missouri Baptist University. Shawn came to the University after successful careers as a Manager and Senior Regional Trainer for Kinko's, as well as owning his own creative consulting firm.
In addition to telling the University's story through the web and other media, he is a gifted communicator who can often be found speaking to churches and organizations across the United States and internationally. He holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Missouri Baptist University.
Victoria Underwood
Victoria Underwood is a student worker in the communications office. Underwood is currently a sophomore at the University and pursuing a double major in psychology and human services.
Bryan Dumey
Bryan Dumey is a student worker in the communications office. Dumey is a senior at Misssouri Baptist University and studying to his mathematics degree.
Amer Abu-Houran (Dababneh)
Amer is a graduate student at Missouri Baptist University, where he works as a graphic designer/computer generated imagery artist. He is from the kingdom of Jordan where he was the head of the technology department and a teacher supervisor at The Baptist School of Amman.
Abu-Houran is currently pursing his Masters in Educational Administration here at Missouri Baptist University. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences and Information Systems from Philadelphia University, a Professional Diploma in Digital Filmmaking, 2D & 3D Animation, Sound Design and Multimedia from SAE Institute in Amman.
